Biography
Dr. Jessie Ellis, PhD, is a Scientist III in the Diet & Aging Brain, Sensory Systems directive. Dr. Ellis's research focuses on microbial metabolism in the gut as an intermediary in the effects of diet on healthy aging. She works with a combination of experimental models including in vitro systems, animal models, and human data.
Dr. Ellis is a member of the American Society for Nutrition and the American Society for Microbiology, and currently serves as a Junior Editor for the journal Gut Microbes.
