Volunteer for Studies

We promote Healthy and Active Aging through research, education, and practice. Our work fosters better understanding of the aging process and identifies the best nutrition, physical activity and healthy living choices that encourage vitality. Since research based on human participation has the best chance of yielding results that can be applied to the general public, the HNRCA has a constant need for research volunteers to participate in our nutrition research studies.

If you are interested in participating in a research study, please review our Current Studies and simply click on the study number in the Current List of Studies to complete the appropriate Study Inquiry Form, or contact the Volunteer Services Office at 800-738-7555. Once contact information is received, a staff member from the Volunteer Services Department will follow-up with your inquiry.

All human research studies carried out in the MRU must be reviewed and approved by the Tufts Health Sciences Institutional Review Board (IRB). The goal of the HNRCA and IRB is to ensure that any research study under Tufts IRB jurisdiction is in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations
