Biography Cheryl H. Gilhooly, Ph.D., M.P.H., R.D. is the manager of the Dietary Assessment Unit (DAU) and Metabolic Research Unit (MRU) at the HNRCA. Dr. Gilhooly provides administrative and scientific leadership to both the MRU and DAU and has expertise on dietary intake assessment, methodology, dietary data management, coding and analysis of food data. In addition, Dr. Gilhooly has been a collaborator on multiple dietary intervention trials and has extensive experience on intervention design, implementation, and oversight of intervention staff to ensure adherence to protocol guidelines. As Manager of the MRU, Dr. Gilhooly oversees the day-to-day operations of the unit including its three divisions (Nursing, Volunteer, and Dietary Services). She is a member of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Boston Nutrition Obesity Research Center (BNORC).
